Hi, I'm Patricia Brogdon — author of the Molly and Omari children's book series, a mom of two, and someone who knows firsthand what it feels like to grow up overwhelmed by anxiety without the tools to manage it.
As a child, I'd faint from fear. I felt out of control in moments that other kids seemed to handle just fine, and nobody around me — not my teachers, not my parents — had the language or the tools to help me find my way back to calm. I carried that with me for years.
As a parent, I raised my own children before I ever discovered tools like yoga, tapping, and deep breathing. I often found myself wishing I had known then what I know now — not just for myself, but for them.
It wasn't until I discovered these practices as an adult that I thought — I wish I had known this when I was seven. I wish I had known this when my kids were seven.
That thought is what started everything.
The Molly and Omari series was born from that moment — and this free guide is an extension of that same mission. Simple, gentle, real tools that parents can actually use, and that kids can actually hold onto.
You don't need a degree to help your child through hard emotions. You just need a place to start.
This is that place.

The key to a calmer home and a more confident child? Small moments and simple tools that are repeated consistently. When your child learns to pause, breathe, and name what they're feeling — everything shifts.
